The boys faced a well drilled and robust defensive
unit in Kings Ely. On a wet drizzly afternoon , Magdalene
House once again began slowly and found themselves
4 tries down before getting into the game. Joe pulled one
Try back with a good turn of speed and skill on the left wing.
As the inclement weather worsened it became increasingly
difficult to execute a passing game and so the game
became increasingly scrappy. The first half finished
1-5. In the second half the boys were sharper and more spatially aware
which helped us to compete at the breakdown and when
defending our line. Joe managed to drive over the line
twice more during another scrappy stretch of play which saw us finish the
game with a 3-9 loss. Although our tackling technique
wasn't quite as good as it could be ( and has been) the
whole team can be very proud of their efforts this term.
We have been competitive in every game, even against larger
schools, and have also chalked up a number of great wins. A massive
thank you to all the parents that have managed to come
and support the team throughout the season.
